Are your candles eco-friendly?

Yes! Our candles are eco-friendly and vegan. We use 100% soy wax, which is a sustainable and clean burning wax made from soy beans - free from toxins, and carcinogens. Not only is soy wax cleaner and safer than traditional paraffin candles - it also burns at a lower temperature, meaning you get more bang for your buck with about 50% more burning time. Along with this we use lead-free cotton wicks, recyclable & reusable aluminium tins, and locally sourced fragrance oils.

How do i get the most out of my candle?

Proper candle care is the key to a long lasting candle. When first burning your candle, unsure you burn it for 2-3 hours, and that the full surface of the candle is melted. This will set a memory in the wax, and prevent tunnelling, which results in a lot of wasted candle. Always ensure your wick is trimmed to about 0.5cm, to prevent smoking, and ensure an even burn. When not in use, pop the lid on your candle - this will help to seal in the fragrance, as well as protect from dust. Always store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. 

Candle safety!

Always keep lit candles out of reach of children and animals, and away from flammable items. Always keep a burning candle in sight - never leave the room without extinguishing. If the flame of your candle has become too big, or flickery, extinguish it immediately, and once cooled, trim the wick to 0.5cm. Always place a lit candle on a heat-resistant flat surface, away from drafty areas or fans. As our candles are made in tins, the containers will get hot - do not attempt to carry around a lit candle.
